THE Ministry of Health and Social Services has raised concerns over the high number of COVID-19 patients dying at their houses, with more than half of deaths recorded in Windhoek alone taking place at home.
The health ministry added that Swakopmund recorded three home deaths, while Katima Mulilo also reported cases of patients succumbing to the virus at their respective homes.
In this regard, the health minister has called on members of the public to present themselves to hospitals once they experience symptoms consistent with Covid-19.
The health ministry further announced that the country recorded a total of 1 372 positive cases on Thursday.

The Erongo Region reported the highest number of cases, accounting for 18% of the confirmed cases, followed by the Khomas Region with 17%.
A total of 36 healthcare workers from different health care facilities have tested positive.
Of all the confirmed 1 372 cases, a total of 22 people were inoculated against COVID-19. Four out of the 22 were fully vaccinated.
