THE Namibian Police in the Erongo Region has requested the Namibian public to assist them in tracing two men that were implicated in the murder and robbery of constable Asser Dominicus in Walvis Bay a week ago.
Two suspects, one charged with the actual murder and another with robbery and attempted murder, the 21-year-old Samuel David and the 25-year-old Josef Lukas already made an appearance in the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court earlier this week for their involvement in the incident of murder and robbery in the streets of the Tutaleni residential area of Walvis Bay a week ago.
David is charged with the cowardly murder after he was identified as the person who stabbed the police constable in the back and in the abdomen.
At the time of the robbery and murder last Saturday morning, Constable Dominicus was walking home with his girlfriend.
David and Lukas were remanded in the custody of the Namibian Police until they make their next appearance on 2 August this year.
According to the Namibian Police in Walvis Bay, two more suspects that were involved in the murder and robbery have since been identified.
They are James Jeremiah Metatu and Iileni Alex Mathias (pictured).
Any person who has information about the whereabouts of Metatu or Mathias is requested to contact Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu at 081 246 4757, Detective Warrant Officer Mansie Amamub at 081 763 8188. Information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects can also be given to officers on duty at any Police Station in Namibia.
