LEARNERS mainly from marginalized communities attending the Otjomuru Primary School in the Kunene Region today received accommodation, courtesy of former deputy prime minister, Dr. Libertine Amathila.
Amathila this morning handed over two accommodation facilities, one for the teachers at the school and the other for the learners, many of who travel long distances to school from Ovatue.
This is not the first accommodation donation by Dr. Amathila, as she has constructed other hostel blocks in the region.
During the same occasion, well-known Opuwo businessman, Timothy Katoma and his wife donated blankets and sanitary pads to the school.
Speaking on behalf of the school, Principal Anna Tjazapi said that the school management and board intends to rename the school after Dr. Amathila to show appreciation for her generous contribution to the development of the school.
