THE 69-year-old Matheus Angula was found with his throat cut at his homestead in the Omusati Region on Monday.
Omusati Regional Commander, Commissioner Titus Shikongo said the incident occurred at Ongozi village around 16h00.
According to Shikongo, the preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased was left alone t home by his family, who went to harvest mahangu at another village.
“Upon their return home, they found the Angula’s body in a pool of blood with a traditional knife in his hand and an open neck wound,” he said.
Shikongo stated that no other wounds were observed on the body.
He said that the body was transported to the Okahao police mortuary where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the actual cause of death.
