TWO toddlers, both two years old, tragically lost their lives after they fell into a pit latrine and drowned.
The tragedy occurred in the Ombili informal settlement of Windhoek.
According to the incident report provided by the Public Relations Division of the Namibian Police, the drowning occurred on Saturday at about 14:00 in the area of One Nation.
The little boy and girl that drowned were identified as Erastus Ndjituwamata and Lucia Fernando.
According to the report, the toddlers were playing outside while their parents were inside their house.
At about 13:00 their parents started searching for them.
The bodies of the two small children were removed by members of the community and later taken to the mortuary by the Namibian Police.
