DANIELLA Beukes, the young woman who went missing from Walvis Bay on Thursday, was found after vigilant members of the public spotted her and the man she was within Oshikango in northern Namibia.
According to a report provided by the Namibian Police in the Erongo Region, Lennard Pilley, also known as Jack Sparrow, was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning after members of the public informed the police of the couple’s whereabouts.
“The suspect was detained at the Oshikango Police Station between 02:00 and 03:00 after officers reacted on a tip-off from a member of the public. The missing woman was in the company of the suspect,” the report states.
The missing person report provided by the Namibian Police on Saturday stated that Pelley, a South African national, fled from Walvis Bay in the company of Beukes after he attacked two people during two different incidents.
He is accused of stabbing one of his victims in the abdomen during a fight.
At first, it was believed that Pelley and Beukes were on their way to South Africa, but it now seems as if they wanted to enter Angola.
According to the latest police report, arrangements have been made to transport both Pelley and Beukes back to Walvis Bay where they will be detained to assist with the investigation into what exactly transpired on Thursday night.
