TRAGEDY struck in the Epandulo Location of the Oluundje Village when two toddlers, a one-year-old and eight-month-old, drowned in a container of tombo at Epandulo location of the Oluundje village on Thursday.
Oshikoto Regional Commander, Commissioner Armas Shivute said the incident occurred at around 17:00 at the village in the Okankolo area.
It is alleged that the babies drowned in a 70-litre container of tombo while they were playing in a cuca-shop.
Shivute noted that the mother of one of the babies discovered their bodies before the local police were notified about the tragic incident.
