CHALLENGES faced by the Ondonga Traditional Authority are challenges for all and needs to be resolved by all regional leaders and law enforcement.
His Majesty, Tatekulu Fillemon Nangolo Shuumbwa, made the remarks during his meeting with the regional leaders and law enforcement members from the Oshana, Ohangwena, and Oshikoto regions at his palace.
King Shuumbwa stated that the discussions are crucial in order to share responsibilities.
He indicated that there is a need for the constitutional traditional authority to work together with regional local authorities, and law enforcement agencies.
Moreover, Shuumbwa noted that there is a need for collective collaboration in working together with the aim of delivering on the responsibilities given to them.
“Councillors should remember that they are all on the ground and they must ensure that they at least communicate with everyone on the ground as we all need to support one and another to avoid double allocation,” King Shuumbwa told councillors.
Shuumbwa also told them to be free and to remember that the palace belongs to everyone and open for any person.
He said that while the new year has started, work should also begin to ensure that everyone collaborates for the same purpose.
The Governor of Oshikoto Region, Penda ya Ndakolo, added to the request of the king and asked Namibians functioning in local authorities and traditional authorities to work together.
“We are ready to work together with the Ondonga Traditional Authority and other traditional authorities for the benefits of all,” he said.
