THE Namibian Police are looking for two burglars who broke into a house in Mariental while the owners were away on holiday during the Festive season.
A domestic employee, whose task it was to feed the dogs while the owners were away, discovered the burglary, who subsequently informed the police.
According to the incident report provided by the Namibian Police’s Public Relations Division, further investigation into the matter revealed that the home-owner had several closed-circuit television cameras installed in his home which captured the burglars in action.
During the burglary on 12 December 2020, the suspect gained entrance to the house by breaking through burglar bars. Once inside the burglars proceeded to break open the safe in the house and managed to steal a laptop, a pair of binoculars, and various mobile phones.
According to the incident report, the value of the stolen items still has to be determined.
The entire incident of breaking and entering with the intent to steal and theft was captured on the CCTV system and the faces of the suspects are clearly visible.
In this regard, the Namibian Police requested the public in helping them identify the burglars that fled the scene of their crime.
