NEW national response measures with regard to the sudden resurgence of new COVID-19 cases in Namibia will be shared with the Namibian Nation when President Hage Geingob addresses the nation later this morning.
At a time when many Namibians are looking forward to spending the Christmas and New Year’s holidays with family and friends, stricter measures are likely to be implemented after the number of new cases started to increase significantly over the past week and a half.
The sudden spike in new cases and deaths ascribed to COVID-19 is a matter of great national concern as the main aim of the Namibian Government is to preserve as many lives as possible.
During the address from the Situation Room at State House, President Geingob is expected to announce new stricter restrictive measures that are designed to bring the resurgence and even a possible second wave of mass infections under control quickly and effectively.
Informanté will be sharing a live broadcast of the national address at 10:00.
