BY casting your vote in any election, Namibians have the opportunity to steer the country in the direction they would like to see.
Both President Hage Geingob and Vice President Nangolo Mbumba, along with their spouses, were amongst the first people in the country to cast their votes in the Regional Council and Local Authority Area elections.
The Head of State and his deputy both encouraged Namibians to make use of the opportunity and make their voices heard.
President Geingob said democracy in Namibia is maturing and encouraged Namibians to exercise their right to vote in a peaceful manner.
He further expressed appreciation for the peaceful manner in which the campaign process was conducted.
Mbumba also encouraged voters to make a decision about their own fate, as he said that they are the real owners of the country.
