THE Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match between Namibia and Mali in Windhoek ended in a 2 – 1 victory for the visitors.
The Brave Warriors were all set to make use of the home advantage for their second match against the Eagles.
News that eight members of the visiting team tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in Namibia raised their hopes even further.
However, the Eagles prevailed with some of their star players on the bench and secured the victory in Windhoek last night.
The Namibians also struggled against Mali during their away match in Bamako last Friday.
The match last week ended in 1 – 0 victory for the Eagles.
The victory in Windhoek secured the top-spot for the Malian Eagles in Group A of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations where they were running head to head with Guinea.
