A SOLDIER from the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) is among the three suspects who allegedly gang-raped a woman at her boyfriend’s place last week Saturday at Oshakati.
The three accused persons, Americo Kristoph (21), Kasiku Gervasius (22) and NDF member, Kasiku Joseph Kundumo (30), made their first court appearance on Monday at the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court.
Magistrate Toini Shilongo postponed the matter to 24 November for further police investigations and to allow the men to apply for legal aid.
Shilongo remanded the three accused persons in police custody.
It’s alleged that the three men gang raped a 19-year-old woman while she was sleeping in her boyfriend’s bedroom.
The victim’s boyfriend was not at home at the time of the attack.
Two of the suspects are reportedly cousins of the victim’s boyfriend.
