TWO members of the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) have registered as regional election candidates for the Okaku constituency in the Oshana Region.
Foibe Nashongo is the official IPC candidate.

However, Frieda Akwenye – a well-known IPC activist who failed the internal nomination process – did also register with the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) under the banner of an independent candidate.
The official opposition, PDM, is also contesting the Okaku constituency for the first time, having fielded Jason Haufiku as its candidate.
The Swapo candidate is the incumbent councillor and chairperson of the Oshana Regional Council, Hannu Kapenda.
