MEMBERS of the Walvis Bay Fire Brigade were called to extinguish a fire that broke out at a house in the Seapoint area of Kuisebmond.
Chief of the Fire Brigade, Dennis Basson, confirmed the incident and said the fire broke out in a backyard shack.
“The area where the incident was reported is almost adjacent to the Fire Station, which meant the fire could be extinguished before it spread to other shacks,” he said.
According to Basson, residents of the shacks and the house could escape to safety and that no deaths or injuries occurred.
