THE Anti-Corruption Commission arrested Esther Ndilula, a senior manager of Namibia Wildlife Resorts for corruptly obtaining a driver’s license.
Ndilula is accused of making a false declaration under oath about losing her driving license when in actual fact she knew that her original license was confiscated by the Anti-Corruption Commission as evidence in another court case in which she is involved.
According to an ACC statement, Ndilula was able to use the false declaration to renew her driver’s license after she presented the document to NaTIS.
Ndilula has since been charged with contravening of section 35 (3) (a) read with sections 32, 49, and 51 of the Anti-Corruption Act, 2003 (Act No. 8 of 2003).
She appeared at the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court this afternoon and was subsequently granted bail in the amount of N$ 20 000.
The matter was postponed to 11 March 2021.
