CRAN closes offices as staff tests positive for COVID-19

THE Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has announced the temporary closure of its head office after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.


CRAN offices will be closed with immediate effect until 11 August and all employees will work from home.


Jochen Traut, CEO of CRAN, stated that as a precautionary measure all employees who came into contact with the employee have been placed in self-isolation.

In addition, the affected offices were closed yesterday for sanitising and disinfection.


Traut advised all stakeholders to adhere to State of Emergency regulations by sanitising, wearing a face mask and social distancing.


Clients have been advised to make payments via various payment methods such as Electronic Fund Transfers, direct bank deposit and submitting applications and customer complaints online.
