THE registration of a counter assault charge against the victim of a brutal assault in the Mega Centre branch of Pick n Pay by the female companion of the man responsible for the attack, has led to his identification and initial interrogation.
The attack that occurred on Sunday and was caught on closed circuit television cameras and quickly spread on social media.
After young woman was slapped in the face, had her head slammed against the wall numerous times, she was forced to ground where the attacker kicked several times.
According to Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwwambi, the commander of the Namibian Police’s Public Relations Division, no arrest has been affected, because the statements of people who witnessed the vicious attack still need to be obtained.
