A VERY strong cold front is expected to make landfall this week which is expected bring rain to the southern parts of the Karas region on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Namibia Meteorological Services’ chief forecaster, Odillo Kgobesti, confirmed that it will be cold and windy in the Karas and Hardap regions on Wednesday and Thursday while cloudy weather expected in the west, central and eastern regions of the country later on Wednesday and Thursday.
Kgobesti noted that over the southern parts of the country near freezing conditions is expected in the mornings while day temperatures will hover around the 16 degrees Celsius mark.
He said that although the temperatures will not drop as low as in the south but the minimum can drop well below five degrees Celsius over the western, central and eastern regions of Namibia.
