THERE is currently a police hunt for five men who have been implicated in the gang rape of a 23-year-old woman in the Capital over the weekend.
According to the latest Namibian police crime report, on Friday, 5 June, at about 23:45 at Otjomuise, 5 male suspects raped the victim while she was in and out of consciousness.
It is alleged that the victim and her friend were invited for drinks and after some time, she passed out and after she regained consciousness, realised that five suspects were taking turns raping her.
No arrest have made yet.

Three more cases of rape were reported in other parts of the country.
In Nkurenkuru, a case of rape and Human Trafficking was also opened on Friday at Woerman Brock Kavango West, Bravo Checkpoint and Tsumeb Town.
It is alleged that a 19-years-old young woman was raped by two truck drivers at Woerman Brock, Rundu and they drove with her to Tsumeb where they told her to get out of the truck and left her at Shoprite Tsumeb.
The truck reportedly belongs to Namib Mills.
The victim alerted the police.
No arrests have yet been made and police investigations continue.
In another incident, it has been reported that on Saturday, 6 June, between 18:00 and 19:00, a 13-years-old girl was raped by a 33-years-old male.
The suspect was arrested and police investigations continue.
Another case of rape was also reported in Swakopmund on Saturday at about 22:40 in Star Fish Street, Mile 4 area, Swakopmund.
It has been reported that a 19-year-old young woman was raped by her 29-year-old uncle.
It is alleged that the suspect invited the victim from a certain house where they were partying to accompany him to his place to fetch a smaller vehicle.
At his house, the suspect reportedly grabbed her, forcefully removed her clothes and raped her.
The suspect has been arrested and is expected to appear in court this week.
