NIGEL van Wyk, the man accused of attempting to remove evidence from former justice minister Sakeus Shanghala’s luxury home in Windhoek during December last year, has approached the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court with a formal bail application.
Another person implicated in the Fishrot corruption scandal, the former Chief Executive Officer of the state-owned Fishcor, Mike Nghipunya also indicated that he intends to formally apply for bail.
Nghipunyas’ application was set down on the court roll for the 4th and 5th of June 2020.
The formal bail applications of the two persons implicated in the Fishrot saga follows Ricardo Gustavo’s formal bail application last Friday.
The magistrate presiding over Gustavo’s bail application is set to hand down his decision on the 3rd of June 2020.
