THE Otjiwaringo location and many other parts of the Oshakati town are inundated following a heavy downpour last night and earlier today.
Houses in new development areas of the town are also inundated with storm water and residents sad that the houses they are living in were built in an oshana. This means that the houses will be flooded every time that heavy rains fall in the area.
“It is still raining and practically all houses in the Otjiwaringo part of Oneshila informal settlement are already flooded. Town council engineers and rescue workers have arrived on the site and are busy assessing the situation before deciding on the next move,” said Daniel Kaya, the traditional leader of Oneshila.
