All Blacks on their way to Rugby World Cup hat trick

THE All Blacks made sure of their semi-final place in the 2019 Rugby World Cup by running in seven tries and dismissing Ireland from the tournament with a victory of 46 – 14 in Tokyo.

With their semi-final spot secured New Zealand will go into the semi-finals against England as even stronger favourites to become the first team ever to lift the Webb Ellis Cup for third time in a row.

Two tries from Aaron Smith and one by Beauden Barrett helped the All Blacks to a 22 to nothing lead at the half-time whistle.

The champions score four more touchdowns through Cody Taylor, Matt Todd, George Bridge and Jordie Barrett in the second half.

Robbie Henshaw’s scored a try for Ireland in the last quarter of the match. A penalty try for the Irish shortly after did nothing for their campaign to get to the semi-finals.

The All Blacks scored their seventh try in the last minute of the match with only 14 men on the field.
