Cricket team prepares for ICC ODI Series

THE Namibia men’s cricket team, following the successful test series matches against Botswana over the past weekend, will be looking to keep the winning streak as it is set to take part in the International Cricket Council League 2 One Day International Series.
Cricket Namibia announced a 14 men-squad with Gerhard Erasmus leading the pack alongside Jan Frylinck as his vice, as the Eagles will be looking to make a comeback in its first ODI match series after 16 years of absenteeism from the tournament.
Albie Morkel, along with Physiotherapist Wihan du Plessis, will assist Coach Pierre de Bryn.

The tournament will start on 14 until 24 September, with Namibia only playing on 22 and 23 September against Papa New Guinea.
The selected players that will represent Namibia are as follows: Gerhard Erasmus (Captain), Jan Frylinck (Vice-captain), Bernard Scholtz, JJ Smith, Helao Ya France, Tangeni Lungameni and Zane Green.
