THIS year would be the twentieth time that the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair will be presented and promises to create unique business networking opportunities for all participants.
The trade fair is expected to start on Friday and will conclude next week Saturday.
This year a total of 451 exhibitors of which 25 international exhibitors from countries such as Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Botswana, Japan, Germany, United States of America and Indonesia are expected to showcase their products and services.
According to Ongwediva Town Council’s spokesperson, Jackson Muma, the OATF continues to present unique business networking opportunities to various economic sectors
Muma made the remarks during his media briefing held on Tuesday in Ongwediva, saying that the event serves as an important platform for entrepreneurs to exhibit their unique products and services.
“In order to maintain relevance and uniqueness of the fair, each year a theme is developed and shared with all stakeholders,” said Muma.
According to Muma, this year’s theme which is “Fostering Economic Growth through Innovation,” is aimed to encourage exhibitors and visitors to become innovative thereby design products and services which would respond to the market needs and eventually enhance economic growth in Namibia.
He added that it is expected of all stakeholders to ensure that innovation is central during this year’s OATF.
The OATF will be officially be opened by President Hage Geingob on Saturday.
