Namibia progress on aggregate advantage

Aili Iilonga
THE Brave Warriors progressed through to the second round of CHAN on a 2-0 aggregate scoreline despite a goalless draw against the team from the Comoros Islands today at the Sam Nujoma stadium.
Brave Warriors went into the second leg with a 2 goal advantage after beating the Island nation’s team in their away match in Moroni last week.
Namibia had much of the ball possession during the match but failed to convert any of the chances created.
Namibia will face the winner between Madagascar and Mozambique for the second round of CHAN competition.
Madagascar looks to be the most likely opponent as they are currently leading 1-0 on the first leg with the second leg of its pre-qualifying match slated for September.
The CHAN tournament will take place next year January.
