President Hage Geingob has signed the more than N$60-billion Appropriation Bill into law after both the National Assembly and National Council approved the National Budget without any amendments.
Wilsigning the bill Dr. Geingob warned that institutions will have to account for every cent spent in the course of the financial year.
The signing entails the appropriation of amounts of money to meet the financial requirements of the State during the financial year ending 31 March 2020.
The Appropriation Act authorizes the expenditure of public funds as budgeted for by the various government institutions.
