LOOKING to improve on its poor performance in the SuperSport Rugby Challenge, the Windhoek Draught Welwitschias will take on the Griquas in its third match of the competition tomorrow at the Hage Geingob rugby stadium.
The team will have to change things around by including a mixture of young and old experienced players to try and win a game, all whilst preparing for the rugby world cup that is set to take place in September in Japan, where Namibia finds itself in a tough group fixture with the likes of defending champions, New Zealand, South Africa, Italy and Canada in Pool B.
Before the main match, there will be a curtain-raiser match between Unam and Grootfontein Rugby club.
Coach Phil Davies picked a 24 men-squad which includes: Darryl de la Harpe as Captain, Rohan Kitshoff as Vice Captain, Andre Redemeyer, Louis van der Westhuizen, AJ De Klerk, Ruan Ludick, Max Katjijeko, Thomasau Forbes, Adriaan Booysen,Eugene Jantjies, Cliven Loubser, PJ Walters, Chris Arries, Chrysander Botha,Niel van Vuuren, Desiderius Sethie, Morne Blom, Prince !Gaoseb, JC Winkler, JC Greyling, Demarsio Hartung,PW Steenkamp and Mogamat Emandien.
