The grim task of informing some family members of the death of another member of his household fell to ten-year-old boy from the Ilugudhi Village in the Oshana Region.
Police spokesperson the region Warrant Frieda Shikole, said that the little boys discovered the body of the 74-year-old Jason Abner hanging from a tree near his homestead at around 17:00 on Tuesday.
“The body of the deceased was found hanging from a tree in the neighbors’ field.”
According to Shikole the body was spotted by the little boy who lived in the same house as the deceased, who whose task it then became to tell the grownups about his gruesome discovery who in turn informed the local police.
According to the spokesperson the deceased person did not leave any kind suicide note and in this regard an inquest has been launched into the unnatural death of the pensioner.
