Tura Magic will tangle with African Stars while Tigers will face Black Africa in the semi finals of the 2019 Standard Bank Top 8 Cup.
The Namibia Premier League drew the order of play on Thursday which will see the teams clash in two-legged matches. The first leg will take place at the Kuisebmond Stadium in Walvis Bay on 16 March, while the return leg is scheduled for Windhoek on 30 March 2019.
Standard Bank Chief Executive Officer Junius Vetumbuavi Mungunda said during the draw ceremony that banking is a universal industry and football is a universal sport and therefore a well matched pair.
“We are proud to have entered sponsorship in football and the Top 8 will make the whole league more competitive.”
The winners of the trophy will take home N$500 000. The runners up will receive N$250 000 while the bottom two will each receive N$125 000 for their effort at the end of the tournament.
