NAMIBIAN prolific striker, Benson Shilongo, who has been in great from the past months, has signed to Egyptian league giants, Ismaily SC.
Shilongo was previously signed to Smouha SC, a team in the same league.
Articles posted on Shilongo’s Facebook page indicate that the forward was signed to improve the club’s attack and help them score more goals after the team managed to only hit the back of the net on 11 occasions in 13 league matches, with the club currently rooted at the bottom of the log standings.
Shilongo’s addition is allegedly much needed to revive the team.
Shilongo didn’t disappoint as his debut goal helped to inspire his new club to a hard fought 2-1 victory against Al Mokawloon away from home last week Wednesday
When contacted for comment, Shilongo, who likes to keep a private life, only said that “I’m enjoying my career and I just want to enjoy my football at the moment.”
